AEGIS Based Defense Lead Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead pilot efforts for incorporating Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and digital engineering into the Aegis-Based Defense (A-BD) system
• Develop SysML A-BD System models for architecture definition, requirements development, and verification
• Oversee program-specific representations within the system model and act as a liaison between digital, requirements, and modeling engineering
• Drive continuous digital transformation of the fleet's premier combat system
• Establish standard operating procedures for the digital engineering environment and manage Integrated Digital Data Environment (IDDE) processes
• Integrate technical, operational, and intelligence functions to ensure effectiveness against evolving threats

Requirements

• US Citizenship with an active Secret security clearance
• Master’s Degree in a STEM field
• 12+ years of relevant professional experience
• Proficiency in SysML and MBSE methodologies
• Mastery of MS Office suite
• Experience with collaborative tools such as Jira and Confluence

Preferred Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI Clearance
• Prior experience with Aegis Weapons Systems
• Experience with Missile Systems Engineering
• Technical expertise in Fleet operations, systems engineering, or Aegis Qualifications
