About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead large-scale capital asset programs of $400M USD or more from conceptual design through operational qualification.
- Manage multidisciplinary teams consisting of both internal and external professionals to achieve project objectives.
- Ensure project delivery meets defined goals for safety, cost, schedule, and quality assurance.
- Maintain effective communication with GFD leadership, governance teams, and business partners while working from regional distances.
- Facilitate issue resolution and anticipate scope changes to implement solutions with speed and value.
- Develop and maintain safety and environmental execution plans to ensure compliance for all project personnel and contractors.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in capital project delivery within industrial or manufacturing facilities.
- Willingness to travel or relocate to locations outside of your home state or country.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience managing large-scale projects exceeding $100M.
- Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing (e.g., Bulk API, sterile products, secondary packaging, or devices).
- Expertise in GMP manufacturing, LEAN, automation, construction quality, or project controls.
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Demonstrated ability to influence organizations and personnel without direct administrative authority.
- Proficiency in a foreign language.
