Advancement Officer, Athletics & Affinity Giving

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of philanthropic prospects to secure annual, leadership, major, and deferred gifts.
• Oversee Knight Nation in Athletics, working with board members, administrators, coaches, and volunteers to increase support.
• Collaborate with University Advancement colleagues to plan and produce affinity group gatherings and campaigns.
• Develop written proposals, cases for support, and gift agreements to engage individuals, foundations, and corporations.
• Maintain travel plans and coverage for home and signature Athletics events.
• Cultivate and steward donor relationships with the highest standards of professional conduct.
• Utilize performance metrics to track progress toward annual and strategic fundraising goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• Experience in or familiarity with higher education and collegiate athletics.
• Proficiency with CRM solutions and Microsoft Office (including Outlook).
• Proficiency with event management and communications software.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and fundraising skills.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and travel frequently for out-of-town assignments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience in fundraising, alumni/donor relations, and athletics.
