Advanced Solar Field Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance of Solar Utility and Sub-Station equipment
• Document work orders, time logs, inventory control, and emergency information schedules
• Troubleshoot electrical components using digital multi-meters, meggers, and amp clamps
• Test and troubleshoot installed solar equipment to ensure proper working order
• Maintain a strong safety focus using Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)
• Operate and maintain company motor vehicles safely

Requirements

• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and installation skills
• Ability to work both independently and in group environments
• Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work outdoors in ambient temperatures
• Availability for weekend, holiday, and on-call service
• Must reside within approximately 50 miles of Becker, Minnesota

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Commercial/Industrial O&M on solar power plants
• Experience with Solar Utility equipment preventative maintenance
• Experience with Inverters, Tracker Systems, or Sub-Station Equipment (TMEIC, SMA, Sungrow, Nextracker, ATI, etc.)
• Ability to train and mentor laborers into Apprentices
