Advanced Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Execute the design and development of software and system requirements for the ANTHEM product line
• Drive and implement product goals and objectives within the Next Generation Avionics (NGA) Center of Excellence
• Provide technical expertise in embedded requirements, architecture, development, and testing
• Lead or assist in FCI processes, SDR, PDR, and verification & validation activities
• Investigate development issues and provide technical decision-making support
• Drive software innovation and identify automation opportunities to improve team efficiency
• Collaborate with geographically distributed team members and customers to influence software design directions

Requirements

• B.E / B. Tech degree
• Strong Software Engineering expertise with Aero Domain/Product knowledge
• Proven experience in Datalink functionality
• Experience in software development and qualification with DO-178C standards
• Proficiency with JIRA and Bitbucket
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Bamboo or Octopus
• Strong knowledge of software design, architecture, integration, and testing

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with functional decomposition and Agile development processes
• Familiarity with IBM Rational DOORS NG Requirements Management tools
• Experience working with SAMIOC/PCT and various development/test environments
• Background in managing large, complicated software programs
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high initiative
