Advanced Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design software architecture and perform embedded C++ coding for avionics systems
• Develop object-oriented software following the full development lifecycle (DO-178C)
• Create software test cases based on system and software requirements
• Utilize Agile development processes and tools such as JIRA and IBM Rational DOORS NG
• Collaborate with internal customers and team members to ensure tasks meet specifications
• Manage project efforts based on priorities, availability, and commitments while communicating roadblocks to management

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering
• 3-5 years of experience in software development and testing
• Hands-on experience with DO-178B/C or DO-331 certification activities
• Proficiency in embedded C++ coding and object-oriented development
• Strong understanding of avionics software architecture

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with NGFMS software development
• Knowledge of Honeywell EPIC or APEX product line architectures
• Ability to work effectively within global and local cross-functional teams
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
