About the role
Responsibilities
- Manufacture, maintain, assemble, and test aerospace flight hardware, including Axiom Extravehicular Mobility Unit (AxEMU) suits and components
- Operate specialized equipment such as 3D printers, RF welding machines, fabric lasers, and wheel cutters
- Perform repair and maintenance using hazardous materials including adhesives, lubricants, and solvents
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical processing procedures
- Assist engineers in diagnosing anomalies and recommending corrective actions
- Maintain daily updates to job-related databases and adhere to all Quality and Safety requirements
- Operate a motor vehicle for the delivery of hardware to various events
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED
- 5+ years of related technical experience
- Excellent mechanical skills and ability to execute detailed technical procedures
- Ability to pass a Class III Physical, Physiological Training, and Clean Room/Controlled Work Area Training
- Valid Texas driver’s license with a good driving record
- Strong oral and written communication skills for interacting with engineers, managers, and customers
- Ability to work the second shift (tentatively scheduled for 3pm-12am)
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree in a technical field or completion of a Military Technical School
- Experience with pressure systems or familiarity with pressurized test equipment
