About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and co-develop advanced GaN/GaAs RF MMIC designs for defense applications including radar, EW, and space systems.
- Drive end-to-end New Product Introduction (NPI) execution, including tape-out ownership, mask release, and foundry coordination.
- Define architecture and translate product requirements into circuit specifications and optimized RF designs.
- Develop and execute DFM/DFT strategies, characterization plans, and qualification activities to ensure production readiness.
- Implement and monitor Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods to track performance metrics and drive yield improvements.
- Conduct yield analysis and root-cause investigations to resolve production issues and ensure manufacturing compliance.
- Work hands-on in the lab using PNA-X and RF measurement equipment to support design validation and debug.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics).
- 3+ years of NPI stage-gate experience.
- Six Sigma Black Belt Certification.
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing or the high-tech electronics industry.
- 2+ years of experience using SPC tools such as MiniTab or JMP.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Proficiency in interpreting schematics and applying microwave theory fundamentals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
- Experience working with DoD/military qualification and testing standards.
- Understanding of semiconductor fabrication processes and variability.
- Experience working with foundries on PDK usage and statistical analysis.
- Familiarity with yield analysis, test limits definition, and guard-banding.
