Advanced Practitioner Mammographer

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced mammographic examinations, including assessment and screening procedures
• Ensure adherence to best practices and safety protocols
• Deliver excellent patient care
• Mentor junior staff and manage complex cases
• Contribute to service improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide accurate diagnostic support

Requirements

• HCPC registration as a Radiographer
• Postgraduate qualification in Mammography
• Extensive experience in screening and diagnostic mammographic imaging
• Strong understanding of mammographic techniques and quality assurance standards
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
• Ability to work independently and within a healthcare team

Preferred Qualifications

• Post Graduate Certificate in Breast Ultrasound
• Experience with interventional procedures
• Experience in breast image interpretation
• Experience in mentoring and training junior staff
