Advanced Practitioner - Emergency Duty

Responsibilities

• Acting as an EDT duty worker, responding to referrals outside of normal working hours
• Working with vulnerable individuals across all age ranges within both Children’s and Adult Services
• Responding to crisis situations and delivering timely and effective interventions
• Undertaking risk assessments to safeguard children, young people and vulnerable adults
• Completing accurate, timely and high-quality case recordings
• Making sound professional judgements in complex and high-pressure situations
• Working collaboratively with multi-agency partners to reduce risk and ensure safeguarding
• Applying relevant legislation and policy frameworks in all areas of practice

Requirements

• MA, BA or BSc in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work, or CQSW
• Registered with Social Work England
• Minimum of 2+ years’ post-qualified experience (ASYE completed)
• Strong experience within Child Protection and/or Adult Safeguarding
• Knowledge of Children Act 1989, Care Act 2014, and Mental Capacity Act 2005
• Experience in risk assessment and multi-agency working
• Ability to work evenings, overnight shifts, weekends and bank holidays
