Advanced Practitioner – Child Protection

Responsibilities

• Lead on complex child protection cases, offering expert guidance and oversight
• Support and mentor less experienced social workers, promoting reflective practice and continuous improvement
• Undertake statutory assessments, care planning, and interventions in line with legislation and Bradford MBC procedures
• Chair multi-agency meetings and contribute to strategy discussions and case conferences
• Ensure the voice of the child is central to all planning and decision-making
• Maintain high-quality case records and reports
• Promote a culture of learning and excellence within the team

Requirements

• Social Work England registration
• Eligibility to work in the UK
• Full UK driving licence
• Substantial post-qualified experience in child protection
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work
