About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide primary and palliative care to patients in a skilled nursing facility
- Perform physical examinations and assess patient health
- Develop impressions, diagnoses, and treatment plans
- Order diagnostic testing and prescribe medications as needed
- Communicate with office staff and clinical operations
- Attend quarterly medical staff meetings
- Foster trust with patients, families, and caregivers during visits
Requirements
- Board Certified NP or PA with valid state certification
- Strong clinical skills to accurately assess, diagnose, and treat
- Ability to confidently problem solve and operate independently
- Positive demeanor and strong interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-2 years of primary care experience with geriatric patients
- Hospice or palliative care experience
