Advanced Practice Provider

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare team members in the outpatient setting
• Provide comprehensive perioperative and postoperative care for thoracic surgery patients
• First and second assist in the operating room for a wide variety of thoracic oncology procedures
• Participate in inpatient consultative care and care coordination across the healthcare continuum
• Support patient education initiatives and clinical programs designed to optimize outcomes and patient experience
• Contribute to quality improvement, research, and evidence-based practice initiatives

Requirements

For Physician Assistants:

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
• NCCPA certification
• Active NYS license or eligible for New York State licensure
• Minimum of 3 years of related surgical experience strongly preferred

For Nurse Practitioners:

• Current New York State RN and NP license/registration
• Master's degree in Nursing
• Prescriptive privileges (or eligibility)
• Related National NP certification
• Current RNFA certification required
• Minimum of 3 years of related surgical experience strongly preferred
