About the role
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver tailored staff education to enhance patient care
- Promote professional development and mentor nurses for career growth
- Provide clinical consultation and address gaps in practice using evidence-based methods
- Collaborate with unit managers, educators, and the academic community on clinical initiatives
- Lead program evaluations, quality improvement initiatives, and innovative education strategies
- Drive nursing visibility and change management efforts within the clinical program
Requirements
- Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) and able to practice without restrictions
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience in acute care or a relevant clinical specialty
- Completion of a Basic Life Support (BLS) program upon hire
- Theoretical and practical experience in adult education and educational program planning
- Strong leadership, facilitation, and ability to work within inter-professional teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nursing or Education (candidates in progress may be considered)
- Previous experience as a clinical educator
- Specialty certification relevant to the respective clinical areas
- Current membership with the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario (RNAO)
