About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver tailored staff education to enhance patient care
  • Promote professional development and mentor nurses for career growth
  • Provide clinical consultation and address gaps in practice using evidence-based methods
  • Collaborate with unit managers, educators, and the academic community on clinical initiatives
  • Lead program evaluations, quality improvement initiatives, and innovative education strategies
  • Drive nursing visibility and change management efforts within the clinical program

Requirements

  • Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) and able to practice without restrictions
  • Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience in acute care or a relevant clinical specialty
  • Completion of a Basic Life Support (BLS) program upon hire
  • Theoretical and practical experience in adult education and educational program planning
  • Strong leadership, facilitation, and ability to work within inter-professional teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Nursing or Education (candidates in progress may be considered)
  • Previous experience as a clinical educator
  • Specialty certification relevant to the respective clinical areas
  • Current membership with the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario (RNAO)
