About the role
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver tailored staff education and clinical training
- Promote professional development and mentor nurses for career growth
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary leadership and the academic community on clinical initiatives
- Lead program evaluations and implement innovative education strategies
- Support quality improvement initiatives and drive nursing change management efforts
- Interpret and disseminate research findings to support evidence-based practice and policy change
Requirements
- Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) with ability to practice without restrictions
- Completion of a Critical Care Nursing Certificate Program
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Theoretical and practical experience in adult education and educational program planning
- Strong leadership, facilitation, and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively within an inter-professional team
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate degree in Nursing or Education (or currently in progress)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant Critical Care setting
- Previous experience as a clinical educator
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Current membership in the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario (RNAO)
