Advanced Practice Mammographer

Responsibilities

• Perform complex mammographic examinations including advanced screening, diagnostic, and interventional procedures
• Operate state-of-the-art mammography equipment
• Ensure patient comfort and safety while providing accurate imaging for diagnosis and treatment planning
• Supervise junior staff and contribute to service development
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards

Requirements

• Degree in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent qualification
• Current registration with the HCPC
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Mammographer
• Considerable experience in both screening and symptomatic mammography
• Considerable experience in assisting with interventional procedures
• Proficiency in advanced mammography equipment and techniques
• Strong understanding of radiation safety and breast imaging protocols

Preferred Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification in Mammography
