About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide full-spectrum sexual and reproductive health care, including contraception, abortion, well-person exams, and gender-affirming care
- Assess, plan, and administer individualized health care consistent with PPGNY policies in a fast-paced environment
- Diagnose medical conditions and provide therapeutic assistance for various infections and disorders, including HIV
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to provide referrals to medical and community resources
- Assist in the training and orientation of newly hired staff
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner, or Nurse Midwife program
- Bachelor's Degree
- Current State license as a PA, NP, or Midwife
- National credentialing certification
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EMR systems
- Ability to travel to various work locations, including occasional support of the mobile health unit
- Ability to provide compassionate, non-judgmental, and culturally responsive care to diverse populations
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual in Spanish
- 1+ years of experience working as a Clinician
- Experience using EPIC EMR
- Master's Degree in a related health field
- Experience working with LGBTQ+ populations or individuals living with HIV
