Advanced Practice Clinician

Responsibilities

• Provide full-spectrum sexual and reproductive health care, including contraception, abortion, well-person exams, and gender-affirming care
• Assess, plan, and administer individualized health care consistent with PPGNY policies in a fast-paced environment
• Diagnose medical conditions and provide therapeutic assistance for various infections and disorders, including HIV
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to provide referrals to medical and community resources
• Assist in the training and orientation of newly hired staff

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner, or Nurse Midwife program
• Bachelor's Degree
• Current State license as a PA, NP, or Midwife
• National credentialing certification
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EMR systems
• Ability to travel to various work locations, including occasional support of the mobile health unit
• Ability to provide compassionate, non-judgmental, and culturally responsive care to diverse populations

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual in Spanish
• 1+ years of experience working as a Clinician
• Experience using EPIC EMR
• Master's Degree in a related health field
• Experience working with LGBTQ+ populations or individuals living with HIV
