About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized medical and pelvic examinations, including reproductive health care, abortion care, and transgender hormone therapy
  • Assess, plan, and administer health care consistent with organizational protocols
  • Perform, order, and interpret appropriate laboratory tests
  • Provide patient education regarding fertility control, infertility, and sexually transmitted infections
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation within an EHR system
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary health care teams to manage patient care and referrals
  • Participate in department committees, quality risk management, and community educational efforts
  • Assist in the training and orientation of new clinical staff and advanced practice clinicians

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Midwifery program
  • Valid New York State Licensure as a Physician Assistant, Midwife, or Nurse Practitioner
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Current BLS and ACLS Certification
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel between work locations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in nursing or a related health field
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience
  • Experience working with LGBTQ and transgender populations
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish
