About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional patient-centered sexual and reproductive healthcare to patients of all genders
- Conduct comprehensive medical history interviews and perform physical exams with a focus on the reproductive system
- Assess patient health status and prescribe appropriate contraceptive methods and GYN treatments per protocols
- Provide abortion counseling, follow-up care, and education regarding pregnancy options
- Counsel and educate patients on all FDA-approved methods of birth control and general reproductive health
- Accurately code for medical services to support the organization’s revenue cycle
- Utilize EHR systems (EPIC) for accurate documentation and optimal patient outcomes
- Refer patients to physicians or social services as appropriate following medical protocols
Requirements
- Master's degree and completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP), Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM), or Physician Assistant (PA) program
- Broad-based clinical GYN knowledge and skills
- Excellent counseling and teaching skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and with sensitivity to a broad range of people
- Flexibility and willingness to travel to various New Hampshire sites as a floating practitioner
