Advanced Mfg Engineer Sr (Welding & Metallurgy Focus)

Responsibilities

• Design and implement advanced manufacturing processes for heat exchangers and thermal systems.
• Lead automation projects for machining, brazing, welding, and assembly processes.
• Deploy smart factory solutions, IoT sensors, and data analytics for predictive maintenance and process control.
• Integrate and optimize robotic welding systems, ensuring efficient programming and consistent weld quality.
• Develop and validate Welding Procedures (WPS) in compliance with AWS, ASME, and ISO standards.
• Conduct failure analysis, metallurgical testing, and material selection for heat transfer components.
• Perform welding inspection and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT).
• Drive Lean and Six Sigma initiatives for process optimization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Materials, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering.
• Over 10 years of experience in the metalworking industry with extensive training in aluminum and steel metallurgy.
• Expertise in welding processes including GMAW, GTAW, SMAW, TIG, MIG, and Brazing.
• Proven experience with robotic/automated welding systems and Industry 4.0/5.0 technologies.
• Strong knowledge of AWS, ASME, and ISO welding standards.
• Proficiency in technical English.
• Skilled in failure analysis, material selection, and quality control.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant engineering field.
• AWS Certification or Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) status.
• Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
• PMP certification.
• Experience with CAD/CAM, ERP systems, and digital manufacturing tools.
