About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical consulting for chemical processing and coatings to ensure corrosion control, thermal management, and fluid compatibility.
  • Interface with design engineers, manufacturing teams, internal laboratories, suppliers, and external customers.
  • Generate specifications, testing plans, fixed-process approvals, and special process audits.
  • Ensure material and process requirements are met for environmental control systems and propulsion programs in commercial and military applications.
  • Participate in multiple phases of the product life cycle, from new development through program sunset.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline (STEM).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in chemical processing, including surface treatments and coatings of aerospace alloys.
  • Proven ability to interpret, review, and disposition blueprints and specifications.
  • Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects under minimal supervision.
  • Must be a U.S. Person (citizen, permanent resident, or protected status) due to export control laws.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a Master’s degree in Engineering.
  • Knowledge of Aerospace Quality Systems (AS9100) and Nadcap programs (AC7108).
  • Familiarity with aerospace alloys such as stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, and Inconel.
  • Understanding of REACh regulations regarding hexavalent chromium.
  • Experience with root cause and corrective action (RCCA) methodologies and Six Sigma certification.
