Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Drive product design changes, modifications, upgrades, and obsolescence management for commercial and military aircraft components.
• Support product transitions and new repair integration to site, including engineering evaluations for non-conforming parts.
• Engage in value creation projects to reduce manufacturing turnaround time and repair costs.
• Lead capital purchase initiatives and provide estimates or statements of work for various engineering projects.
• Communicate directly with internal and external customers and suppliers regarding supply chain disruptions, defect escapes, and warranty reviews.
• Collaborate with global staff across different product design centers and factories.

Requirements

• Eligibility to work in the UK.
• Solid engineering experience within the aerospace or mechanical industry.
• A degree in engineering is preferred.
• Ability to reside within an easy commute of Bournemouth airport.
• Strong communication skills to convey diverse engineering topics to various audiences.
• A desire to develop others and grow into a leadership role.
