About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of advanced manufacturing processes, automation, and assembly line designs to optimize production efficiency.
- Drive process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
- Manage engineering projects from concept to implementation, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Oversee the selection, installation, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment, tools, and systems.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing principles and Poka-Yoke development to drive continuous improvement.
- Provide technical support to production teams, troubleshoot manufacturing issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including SOP, PFMEA, and standard work.
- Mentor junior engineers and production staff on best practices and new technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
- 10–12 years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
- Minimum 5 years in a senior or lead role specifically within the power electronics industry.
- Proficiency in CAD software and ERP systems.
- Strong knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex engineering projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in an engineering discipline.
- Six Sigma Black Belt or Lean Manufacturing certification.
- Familiarity with UPS system components and assembly processes.
