Advanced Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee multiple projects for Switchgear and Busbar business units, focusing on product transfers and new product introduction (NPDI) programs.
• Develop and implement manufacturing plans for assigned new products and provide direct support for plant-to-plant product transfers.
• Identify, justify, and commission advanced manufacturing technologies, processes, and capital projects to support growth and technical capacity.
• Manage End of Line testing equipment, parameters, scripts, and associated capital expenditures.
• Execute Manufacturing Readiness Checklists and deliverables within the NPDI process.
• Lead manufacturing prototype builds and collaborate with Design Engineering on engineering prototype builds.
• Implement best manufacturing practices and provide multi-site manufacturing engineering support to standardize processes across plants.
• Assist with business-critical capital projects, including facility planning, layout, and cost justification.

Requirements

• BS in Mechanical Engineering (BSME), Industrial Engineering (IE), or Business Operations Management.
• 3-5 years of manufacturing experience.
• Extensive knowledge of formalized Advanced and Lean Manufacturing applications.
• Proven experience in New Product Development (NPD) and Product Transfers.
• Strong project management, technical, and analytical skills.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.

Preferred Qualifications

• MS in Mechanical Engineering (MSME), Industrial Engineering (IE), or an MBA.
• 5+ years of Advanced Manufacturing experience.
• Formal Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma training or certifications.
