About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee multiple projects for Switchgear and Busbar business units, focusing on product transfers and new product introduction (NPDI) programs.
- Develop and implement manufacturing plans for assigned new products and provide direct support for plant-to-plant product transfers.
- Identify, justify, and commission advanced manufacturing technologies, processes, and capital projects to support growth and technical capacity.
- Manage End of Line testing equipment, parameters, scripts, and associated capital expenditures.
- Execute Manufacturing Readiness Checklists and deliverables within the NPDI process.
- Lead manufacturing prototype builds and collaborate with Design Engineering on engineering prototype builds.
- Implement best manufacturing practices and provide multi-site manufacturing engineering support to standardize processes across plants.
- Assist with business-critical capital projects, including facility planning, layout, and cost justification.
Requirements
- BS in Mechanical Engineering (BSME), Industrial Engineering (IE), or Business Operations Management.
- 3-5 years of manufacturing experience.
- Extensive knowledge of formalized Advanced and Lean Manufacturing applications.
- Proven experience in New Product Development (NPD) and Product Transfers.
- Strong project management, technical, and analytical skills.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
Preferred Qualifications
- MS in Mechanical Engineering (MSME), Industrial Engineering (IE), or an MBA.
- 5+ years of Advanced Manufacturing experience.
- Formal Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma training or certifications.
