About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee multiple projects for the Switchgear Power BU, focusing on product transfers, new product introduction (NPDI), and process improvements.
  • Develop and implement manufacturing plans for assigned new products in alignment with product roadmaps.
  • Provide direct support for plant-to-plant product transfers and new product development programs.
  • Identify, justify, and commission advanced manufacturing technologies, equipment, and capital projects to support growth and technical capacity.
  • Manage End of Line testing equipment, parameters, and associated capital expenditures.
  • Execute Manufacturing Readiness Checklists and deliverables within the NPDI process.
  • Lead manufacturing prototype builds and support engineering prototype builds in coordination with Design Engineering.
  • Implement best manufacturing practices and provide multi-site engineering support to standardize processes across Vertiv plants.

Requirements

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering (BSME), Industrial Engineering (IE), or Business Operations Management.
  • 3-5 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of formalized Advanced and Lean Manufacturing applications.
  • Proven experience in New Product Development (NPD) and Product Transfers.
  • Strong project management, technical, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MS in Mechanical Engineering (MSME), Industrial Engineering (IE), or an MBA.
  • 5+ years of Advanced Manufacturing experience.
  • Formal Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma training or certifications.
