About the role
Responsibilities
- Review and disposition of non-conforming materials from internal and external sources
- Leverage disposition data to identify trends and reduce defects or scrap
- Support root cause-corrective action investigation activities
- Evaluate manufacturing processes through analysis of product design, fabrication, and assembly
- Document manufacturing requirements and prepare work instructions
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and determine manufacturing sequences
- Identify opportunities to reduce bottlenecks and increase throughput
- Prepare and present product and process reports to teams and customers
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (STEM)
- 3-5 years of professional experience
- U.S. citizenship, permanent resident, or asylum/refugee status required
Preferred Qualifications
- Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering experience
- Knowledge of aerospace industry products and regulatory requirements
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical manuals
- Familiarity with aerospace power generation and AC/DC electric motors
- Experience with time studies and verification of builds (VOB)
- Experience with workstation design, 5S, and cell organization
- Proficiency in build/assembly tooling design
