About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement advanced manufacturing processes to improve quality, efficiency, and productivity.
- Serve as the process owner for Aerospace Wheel & Brakes machining cells, acting as a subject matter expert.
- Conduct process audits and provide hands-on technical support on the production floor.
- Solve issues related to poor product yield, reduce scrap, and conduct dispositions of product non-conformances.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process optimization and technology adoption.
- Analyze production data and metrics to lead corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics).
- 3+ years of engineering experience.
- 2+ years of experience reading blueprints (B/P) including GD&T.
- Experience with NC programming (M&G code), specifying cutting tools, fixtures, and gages.
- Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis.
- Knowledge of manufacturing technologies such as automation and robotics.
Preferred Qualifications
- Greenbelt certification or knowledge of Six Sigma tools.
- AS9100 audit experience.
- Experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA).
- Working knowledge of SAP and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
- Experience with non-conforming material review and disposition.
