About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement advanced manufacturing processes to improve quality, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Serve as the process owner for Aerospace Wheel & Brakes machining cells, acting as a subject matter expert.
  • Conduct process audits and provide hands-on technical support on the production floor.
  • Solve issues related to poor product yield, reduce scrap, and conduct dispositions of product non-conformances.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process optimization and technology adoption.
  • Analyze production data and metrics to lead corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics).
  • 3+ years of engineering experience.
  • 2+ years of experience reading blueprints (B/P) including GD&T.
  • Experience with NC programming (M&G code), specifying cutting tools, fixtures, and gages.
  • Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing technologies such as automation and robotics.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Greenbelt certification or knowledge of Six Sigma tools.
  • AS9100 audit experience.
  • Experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA).
  • Working knowledge of SAP and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
  • Experience with non-conforming material review and disposition.
