About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide concept development input and develop project plans and schedules for new product design
- Lead process reviews and assess design for manufacturability
- Manage manufacturing activities for new product commercialization, including tooling and equipment coordination
- Develop and release product and process documentation such as Process Specifications, Process Controls, and PFMEAs
- Perform process characterization using design of experiments (DOE)
- Execute and analyze validation protocols
- Manage the transfer of new products from design to manufacturing, including facility selection and equipment installation
- Support sustaining manufacturing through failure investigations and change implementation
Requirements
- BS degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Biomedical, or equivalent Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of experience with a BS or 2 years with an MS
- Proficiency in equipment and tooling procurement and chemical process design
- Experience with DOEs, process validations, and process characterizations
- Working knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies
- Understanding of GMPs and medical device regulations
- Ability to travel up to 25%
Preferred Qualifications
- Six Sigma Green or Black belt certification
- Project management experience
