About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead capital equipment and tooling projects from concept through specification, installation, and launch
  • Develop and improve assembly and metal fabrication processes to support safety, quality, and throughput
  • Partner with product engineering to incorporate Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) principles
  • Design manufacturing equipment and workstations considering ergonomics, material flow, and line balancing
  • Support new product introductions (NPI) by ensuring manufacturing readiness and process capability
  • Collaborate with automation and robotics engineers to develop cost-effective automation solutions
  • Drive equipment reliability and process robustness to maximize Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation including control plans and work instructions

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing equipment and processes
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methods

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in high-volume manufacturing (appliance, automotive, or consumer durable goods)
  • Experience with capital equipment procurement, installation, and qualification
  • Proficiency with Creo, SolidWorks, or equivalent design tools
  • Familiarity with GD&T, DFMA, TPM, and OEE
  • Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI) or product launch activities
