About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead capital equipment and tooling projects from concept through specification, installation, and launch
- Develop and improve assembly and metal fabrication processes to support safety, quality, and throughput
- Partner with product engineering to incorporate Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) principles
- Design manufacturing equipment and workstations considering ergonomics, material flow, and line balancing
- Support new product introductions (NPI) by ensuring manufacturing readiness and process capability
- Collaborate with automation and robotics engineers to develop cost-effective automation solutions
- Drive equipment reliability and process robustness to maximize Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
- Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation including control plans and work instructions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing equipment and processes
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methods
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in high-volume manufacturing (appliance, automotive, or consumer durable goods)
- Experience with capital equipment procurement, installation, and qualification
- Proficiency with Creo, SolidWorks, or equivalent design tools
- Familiarity with GD&T, DFMA, TPM, and OEE
- Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI) or product launch activities
