About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced manufacturing software and controls solutions.
- Drive the execution of global software and connectivity platform initiatives across multiple manufacturing sites.
- Design and deploy controls, software, and electrical systems in manufacturing environments.
- Drive commissioning, validation (FAT/SAT), and multi-site deployment of standardized solutions.
- Develop machine-to-system connectivity involving PLCs, IPCs, databases, and MES.
- Enable real-time data integration into manufacturing and enterprise systems to support global visibility.
- Implement digital poka-yoke and process enforcement solutions aligned with platform strategy.
- Collaborate with global teams and suppliers to ensure alignment to platform direction and successful deployment at scale.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Software, Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related).
- 3–5 years of experience in automation, controls, or manufacturing software.
- Proficiency with text-based, LabVIEW, or PLC programming.
- Experience with manufacturing documentation, including theory of operation, schematics, and manuals.
- Experience using software source control.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally (approximately 10-20%).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing and deploying scalable software solutions across multiple sites.
- Experience working with global stakeholders in AME, IT, or operations.
- Knowledge of data connectivity, MES, or industrial communication protocols.
- Experience with robotics, vision systems, and advanced automation.
- Proficiency in HMI development and configuration.
- Experience with database and data-driven applications.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing, quality systems, and error-proofing.
