Advanced Industrial Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to plant Industrial Engineers regarding material flow standards and workstation layouts
• Mentor plant and COE Industrial Engineers on best business practices
• Develop and analyze future program material flow from dock to point of use
• Support the evaluation and implementation of strike zone workstation layouts
• Maintain a central database for plant layouts, kitting process books, and lean manufacturing documentation
• Provide technical leadership for indirect labor motion-based time standards
• Assist with labor roadmaps to decrease gaps to labor goals
• Support the establishment of future manufacturing footprints and core assembly processes
• Provide technical data and support to the Design for Assembly team

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Industrial Engineering preferred)
• Minimum of 5 years of industry experience
• MODAPTS certification or other time studies certification required
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a matrix organization
• Excellent communication and technical documentation skills
• Willingness to travel up to 50% to support JIT plants

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in automotive interiors
• Experience working in a JIT (Just-in-Time) manufacturing assembly facility
• Ability to train others in time studies and motion-based standards
