About the role
Responsibilities
- Design oil and gas production systems and assess operability for wells, flow lines, risers, and pipelines
- Conduct technical studies including fluid characterization using thermodynamic simulators to model PVT behavior
- Perform steady-state and transient multiphase fluid modeling to assess thermal and hydraulic behavior during production changes, startup, and shutdown
- Predict and assess solid formation and deposition behavior for hydrates, sand, wax, scale, and asphaltenes
- Use modeling and laboratory analysis to develop operational strategies to prevent, mitigate, and remediate system vulnerabilities
- Collaborate with Materials Engineers to assess erosion and corrosion for proper material selection
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Petroleum Engineering from a recognized university
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Flow Assurance or Multiphase Flow Analysis within the Oil and Gas industry
- Proficiency with industry software such as OLGA, PIPESIM, Prosper, or GAP
- Demonstrated experience in developing multicomponent fluid characterizations using simulators like PVTSIM or HYSYS
- Ability and willingness to travel internationally
Preferred Qualifications
- Formal training and demonstrated work experience in OLGA transient multiphase flow modeling
- Experience in predicting gas hydrate formation and developing prevention strategies
- Demonstrated work experience in oil and gas process modeling using HYSYS, GAP, or equivalent
- Knowledge of Pipeline and Subsea engineering
