Advanced EMT

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility through medical history interviews, physical examinations, and blood testing
• Manage donor adverse events and evaluate reactions according to established SOPs
• Review laboratory test results and notify donors of unsuitable findings
• Support center operations by following medical affairs guidance and environmental, health, and safety (EHS) protocols
• Manage employee incidents and support vaccination programs as required
• Coordinate with the Center Physician regarding medical or technical issues and donor safety

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current EMT-Paramedic license or certification in the state of assignment
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification
• Certification in basic IV therapy per state requirements
• Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting
• Ability to complete FDA-approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialists
