Advanced Embedded Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the verification and validation of avionics embedded software within DO-178 B/C frameworks.
• Drive common test architecture, environments, strategies, tools, and processes.
• Utilize debuggers, simulators, and structural coverage tools such as VectorCover, LDRA, TCA, CodeTest, and TRACE 32.
• Manage stakeholders within and outside the organization to propose technical improvements.
• Ideate and drive VPD ideas and RDE reduction initiatives.
• Explore opportunities for test methodologies and test design automation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (ECE, CS, or EEE).
• 6+ years of experience in software development, systems, or software verification.
• Minimum of 2 years of dedicated experience in software verification and validation (V&V).
• Proficiency in C, C++, and Python.
• Deep understanding of DO-178 B/C standards and design assurance guidelines.
• Strong technical leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Communication Navigation Surveillance (CNS) products.
• Knowledge of EGPWS, Datalink, Com/Nav Radio, Global Navigation technologies, RF signal, and Radar/RADALT technologies.
• Experience in Change Impact Analysis (RA, DRAT), Tool Qualification, TRR, RFS, Cert Docs, and SOI#3 Audits.
• Familiarity with Clearcase and Clearquest.
