Advanced Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Plan tasks, schedules, and estimates for aerospace programs
• Resolve technical problems with customers
• Participate in design reviews with internal and external stakeholders
• Take design ownership from concept through qualification for electromechanical actuators, solenoid valves, electric motors, and motor drives

Requirements

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline
• 6–8 years of industry experience in low-frequency electromagnetic devices or machines
• Knowledge of electric machines, solenoids, sensors, transformers, and motor drives
• Experience with first-principles design of axial flux, radial flux BLDC, and switched reluctance motors
• Proficiency with electromagnetic design simulation tools like Ansys Maxwell, RMxprt, or Motor-CAD
• Familiarity with ANSYS, NX, PSIM, PSPICE, Mathcad, or MATLAB
• Experience with product lifecycle processes, manufacturing, and testing
• Familiarity with Six Sigma tools and structured problem-solving

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree from IITs, IISc, or NITs
• Knowledge of magnetic sensors such as LVDTs or torque motors
• Knowledge of power electronic devices, converters, drives, and control electronics
