Adult Speech & Language Therapist

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat adults with communication, swallowing, and voice disorders
• Manage caseloads including progressive neurological conditions, stroke, traumatic brain injury, dementia, respiratory conditions, voice disorders, and dysphagia
• Provide intervention across clinics, care homes, community hospitals, and patients’ own homes
• Contribute to MDT working and care planning
• Delegate appropriate tasks to clinical assistants or newly qualified therapists
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation

Requirements

• HCPC-registered Speech & Language Therapist
• Experience working with adults with acquired communication and swallowing difficulties
• Confident managing dysphagia caseloads at Band 6 or Band 7 level
• Ability to travel across community locations
• Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills
