About the role
Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with communication and swallowing disorders
- Develop tailored therapy plans for patients
- Provide individual and group sessions to improve speech, language, and cognitive-communication skills
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and family members to support patient progress
- Manage a caseload effectively to ensure holistic care
Requirements
- HCPC registration
- Degree in Speech and Language Therapy (BSc or MSc) or equivalent
- Proven experience assessing and treating adults with communication and swallowing disorders
- Strong understanding of evidence-based therapy practices and clinical guidelines
- Ability to work independently
- Experience in the NHS or a healthcare setting is highly desirable
