Adult Social Worker

Responsibilities

• Managing a caseload of adults with complex needs and carrying out statutory reviews of care and support plans
• Undertaking and contributing to Section 42 safeguarding enquiries to protect adults at risk
• Completing detailed, holistic assessments and reviews, balancing risk and independence
• Analysing information from individuals, families, and partner agencies to inform decision-making
• Reviewing existing packages of care to ensure they remain appropriate and cost-effective
• Completing Mental Capacity Assessments and contributing to Best Interests decisions
• Working collaboratively with multi-agency partners to deliver person-centred outcomes
• Maintaining accurate, timely, and high-quality case records in line with statutory requirements

Requirements

• MA, BA, BSc in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work, or CQSW
• Registered with Social Work England
• Minimum 2 years’ post-qualified experience, including completion of ASYE
• Strong experience within Adult Social Care and managing complex casework
• Proven experience undertaking Section 42 safeguarding enquiries
• Experience completing Care Act assessments, Mental Capacity Assessments, and risk assessments
• Experience working within a multi-agency environment
