Responsibilities
- Provide direct clinical supervision and instruction to nursing students in an onsite medical-surgical setting
- Plan and implement clinical experiences that align with course objectives and program outcomes
- Evaluate student performance and provide documented, timely feedback and remediation
- Develop written clinical assignments consistent with student skill competency and learning needs
- Grade homework, quizzes, tests, and clinical paperwork in a timely manner
- Maintain current knowledge of agency clinical policies and procedures
- Keep the course coordinator informed of all student and agency-related concerns
Requirements
- Master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution
- Unencumbered professional nursing license in the state of South Carolina
- At least two years of professional RN experience within the last five years
- Subject matter expertise in Adult Health/Medical-Surgical nursing
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in teaching or precepting nursing students
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A genuine passion for nursing education and lifelong learning
