Adult Health/Medical-Surgical Clinical Faculty

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical supervision and instruction to nursing students in an onsite medical-surgical setting
• Plan and implement clinical experiences that align with course objectives and program outcomes
• Evaluate student performance and provide documented, timely feedback and remediation
• Develop written clinical assignments consistent with student skill competency and learning needs
• Grade homework, quizzes, tests, and clinical paperwork in a timely manner
• Maintain current knowledge of agency clinical policies and procedures
• Keep the course coordinator informed of all student and agency-related concerns

Requirements

• Master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution
• Unencumbered professional nursing license in the state of South Carolina
• At least two years of professional RN experience within the last five years
• Subject matter expertise in Adult Health/Medical-Surgical nursing

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in teaching or precepting nursing students
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A genuine passion for nursing education and lifelong learning
