Adult Acute Speech and Language Therapist

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat adults with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders
• Provide specialist assessment and management of dysphagia
• Deliver evidence-based therapy tailored to individual patient needs
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation in line with professional standards
• Adapt caseload to include community work where appropriate

Requirements

• Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent
• HCPC registration
• Experience working with adult patients in an acute setting
• Competency in dysphagia, communication, and swallowing disorders
• Strong communication and organisational skills
