About the role

Responsibilities

  • Represent Whitworth at recruitment functions, including high school/community college visits, college fairs, and alumni events within an assigned geographic territory.
  • Manage a recruitment territory by maintaining historical travel records, key school/alumni contacts, and regional higher education trends.
  • Serve as the primary representative of Whitworth to prospective students and families, communicating the university's mission and academic programs.
  • Promote and participate in on-campus visit programs, including evening and weekend commitments.
  • Engage prospective students through face-to-face meetings, email, phone calls, texting, and social media.
  • Review and evaluate undergraduate admissions applications to make informed admissions decisions.
  • Act as a liaison between prospective students and university offices such as Financial Aid, Student Life, and Athletics.

Requirements

  • A personal commitment to the Christian faith and the integration of faith and learning.
  • Work experience that matches the responsibilities of the position.
  • Ability and commitment to travel for extended periods (approximately 8-12 weeks per year).
  • Availability to work several evenings and weekends throughout the year.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform bending, stooping, and kneeling for event setup.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience working with high school students and their parents/guardians.
  • Previous university or higher education experience.
  • Experience working with CRM or relational database programs.
  • Bilingual abilities in Spanish.
