Admissions Counselor

Responsibilities

• Recruit new students and manage assigned travel territories through analysis and strategic planning
• Deliver large and small group presentations to prospective students, parents, and influencers
• Conduct prospective student interviews and review freshman applications to render admission decisions
• Visit high schools and attend college fairs, requiring significant seasonal travel (8-12 weeks in Fall; 6-8 weeks in Spring)
• Maintain and develop relationships with key influencers, counselors, and community members
• Provide high-quality customer service via phone, email, and in-person receptions
• Interpret and apply admissions and financial aid policies and procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent verbal, written, and public speaking communication skills
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to travel extensively and work evenings or weekends as required
• Experience in customer service

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Jesuit education or the University of Scranton
• Experience in higher education administration
• Ability to uphold and contribute to the University’s Catholic and Jesuit mission
