Admissions Counselor

Responsibilities

• Recruit eligible youth for Job Corps Program
• Conduct outreach activities in communities, agencies, American Job Centers and public events
• Meet departmental and center goals and objectives
• Conduct orientation and interviews with applicants and parents
• Perform applicant file procedures including data entry and document scanning
• Participate in departmental meetings
• Coordinate travel arrangements for applicants
• Perform Quality Assurance Checks on all applicant files

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, business, communications, or related field
• 2 years of related supervisory experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily

Preferred Qualifications

• English/Spanish bilingual skills
