Admissions Counselor

Responsibilities

• Recruit prospective students and guide them through the admissions process using a relationship-based approach.
• Manage an assigned recruitment territory and student population to meet enrollment goals.
• Conduct proactive outreach via phone, email, text, virtual meetings, and in-person appointments.
• Represent Barton College at high school visits, college fairs, open houses, and recruitment events.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with high school counselors, community college advisors, and other key partners.
• Utilize Slate CRM and Jenzabar SIS to manage student records and track recruitment activity.
• Deliver engaging presentations to individuals and groups regarding academic programs and campus life.
• Work evenings and weekends as needed to support recruitment events and institutional goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel independently, including overnight travel when necessary.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Slate CRM and Jenzabar SIS.
• Interest in recruitment, enrollment management, sales, marketing, or student services.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and digital communication tools.
