Admission Counselor

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive recruitment strategies for assigned territories to meet enrollment goals.
• Represent the college at high schools, college fairs, and community events through public presentations and one-on-one interactions.
• Build and maintain relationships with school counselors, alumni, and community-based organizations to expand the student pipeline.
• Engage authentically with prospective students and families, including underrepresented, first-generation, and rural communities.
• Conduct student-centered admission conversations both in-person and virtually.
• Oversee the application review process, ensuring fair and holistic evaluations.
• Analyze recruitment data to inform territory strategies and improve outreach efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 0 to 2 years of experience in college admissions, student affairs, K-12 education, or a related field.
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and access in higher education.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Slate).
• Ability to travel regionally and nationally and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience communicating complex financial aid processes to families.
• Familiarity with the value of a liberal arts education.
• Bilingual or multilingual skills.
