About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide information to prospective transfer students regarding university programs and requirements
- Conduct admission interviews and evaluate applications and scholarship essays
- Evaluate transcripts and interpret transfer course equivalencies to advise students on majors and core requirements
- Plan, coordinate, and implement recruitment activities, including presentations to community colleges
- Build and maintain relationships with community colleges and businesses in Los Angeles and Ventura Counties
- Manage communication with applicants via email and phone to provide outstanding customer service
- Maintain accurate admission files, enrollment records, and reports
- Travel to various cities in California to conduct recruitment and represent the university
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Internship experience in a college or university setting
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to travel and work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
Preferred Qualifications
- Fluency in Spanish
