About the role

Responsibilities

  • Review, validate, and process securities transfer requests and supporting documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Operate and maintain record-keeping systems supporting shareholder transfer activities
  • Respond to written, telephone, or in-person inquiries regarding transfer requirements and conduct research on historical records
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and provincial transfer regulations and guidelines
  • Interact with internal stakeholders including Client Management, Corporate Actions, and other operational teams
  • Maintain and submit monthly statistics for fees and management reporting
  • Ensure operational procedures, controls, and guidelines remain compliant and help strengthen the risk framework
  • Coordinate new share issuances, closing mechanics, and the printing of securities
  • Perform administrative duties including receiving, distributing, and scanning incoming and outgoing mail

Requirements

  • College diploma or university degree in business, finance, or equivalent experience
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Working knowledge of the securities industry and back-office administration processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace applications
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and time-management abilities
  • High attention to accuracy, detail, and quality of work
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or similar industry courses
