About the role
Responsibilities
- Direct overall facility operations, including business planning, resident census development, and budgeting
- Ensure strict compliance with New York State DOH and federal regulations for Adult Homes and ALP
- Serve as the primary liaison with the New York State Department of Health
- Oversee resident care quality for individuals with medical and mental health conditions
- Supervise department heads and staff across clinical and non-clinical areas
- Drive quality assurance and performance improvement programs
- Manage building maintenance and physical plant safety compliance
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of progressive management experience in assisted living, adult home, or skilled nursing
- In-depth knowledge of NYS laws and regulations for Adult Homes and ALP
- Proven experience navigating regulatory inspections and surveys
- Experience leading both clinical and non-clinical teams
- Ability to support residents with medical and mental health needs
- Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and on-call responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree such as MBA (healthcare focus) or MHA
- Extensive operations management experience in senior living
- Background in hospitality or customer service
