About the role

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage all aspects of training for the Apprentice Construction Laborer (ACL) Program
  • Participate in ACL recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes
  • Coordinate Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) training programs for regulatory compliance
  • Facilitate and track Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) training and certifications
  • Organize and monitor Certificate of Fitness (COF) training requirements
  • Maintain accurate training records, certifications, and compliance documentation
  • Support procurement coordination, purchasing, and inventory management
  • Coordinate with Fleet Operations regarding vehicle maintenance and training

Requirements

  • Must be permanent in the Civil Service title of Administrative Staff Analyst (Non-Mgr)
  • Master's degree and 2 years of professional experience (including 18 months in a supervisory/administrative capacity) OR
  • Baccalaureate degree and 4 years of professional experience (including 18 months in a supervisory/administrative capacity)
  • Experience in areas such as personnel administration, staff development, or program evaluation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing training programs or workforce development initiatives
  • Knowledge of environmental health and safety (EHS) procedures
  • Familiarity with CDL, COF, and municipal licensing requirements
  • Experience with procurement, inventory management, and contract administration
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and database tracking systems
