About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide primary administrative support to the Director, Associate Director, and Assistant Directors of Residential Communities.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for the residence hall staff office, assisting students, parents, and university visitors.
  • Coordinate logistics for full-time staff recruitment, selection, and training processes, including travel and on-campus interview days.
  • Manage departmental communications, including creating newsletter content via MailChimp and maintaining Residence Life webpages.
  • Oversee office operations, including supply inventory, technical equipment maintenance, and scheduling for group meetings.
  • Process financial reimbursements for student-initiated programming and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Handle highly sensitive and confidential student and personnel information with strict adherence to privacy standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.
  • Three years of job-related experience, including experience supporting an executive or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access) and the Windows environment.
  • Working knowledge of FERPA, the Clery Act, and Title IX.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond effectively to diverse constituents.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a higher education or residential life setting.
  • Knowledge of University policies and procedures.
  • Experience with StarRez or similar housing management platforms.
